EPBF Euro-Tour Press Release

To all Pool fans,

Great news for all pool players as we kick off the 2007 season in the
Czech Republic. The IBP have reviewed the present system and taking into consideration the amount of announcements of late have decided to try a new format. This new format will be tried in Prague, Netherlands and Spain and will be paying a staggering 50 000.00 euros per event. The top 32 players on the European ranking will be seeded into a group of 64 and will be joined on the Saturday by the 32 qualifiers from the main event. The winner will pick up a mouth watering 6500.00 euros and even place 64 will receive 250 euros. The remaining 4 events in Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland will still be paying 40 000.00 euros each, making a total prize fund on the Euro tour 2007 season an amazing 310 000.00 euros.

We are also changing two of our venues from the last 3 years but are staying in the same countries. The venues that are leaving are Monfalcone/Italy and Weert/Netherlands. In, comes the Holiday Inn near Naples/Italy and Deurne / Netherlands. Both venues give the possibility
of 24 or more tables and with plenty of space and equipment in order to create the right atmosphere.

IBP President David Morris had this to say,
“We would like to thank our partners of the last 3 years for the great work they did to make the Euro tour in their home towns. We had some memorable moments and some great matches at those venues but we felt the time was right for a change and the change we feel will benefit the Euro tour series. All our events are now secure for the next 3 years and I am looking forward to the first event in Prague with a cool 50 000.00 euros on offer”

Edellisen jatkoksi, ilmoittautumiskäytäntöön hieman muutoksia niille, jotka haluavat maksaa koko kauden osallistumiset kertaheitolla:

NEW RULES CONCERNING ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE WHOLE YEAR.
As we are changing the announcement cancellation period we would like you to try the following;
It is also possible in 2007 to make your announcement for the whole year. Because of the experiences in the past 2 years we have made some rules for this privilege.

These rules are:
a. Payment of 4 times the entrance fee in advance at the beginning of 2007 ( 4 x 140 € = 560,00 € ) to the IBPF account.

b. Payment of the last 3 times of the entrance fee before 01.08.2007.

c. This payments can be made via: ( We will send an invoice to your E-mailaddress)
- Bank.
- Pay Pal
- Cash

If the payment is in our account or paid cash, the announcement is valid and you are automatically announced for the whole year. Announcing for the whole year gives you the following advantage:

Cancellation:
Once you have paid the above and you have to cancel your participation for a certain event, the following is
very important:

1. The cancellation deadline is accreditation day before 14.00 hours.
( If you cancel later or don’t show up at the event you will lose the entrance fee for that event.)
The cancellation date if you are not announced for the whole year will be 1 week prior to the event !!!!!!

Accreditation:
2. It is not necessary for you to be at the accreditation. You can make your travel arrangements ( If possible of course) so that you are at the venue 30 minutes before your first match.

If you decide to announce for the whole year, please send me an E-mail were you express your Intensions, with also your wish how to pay the amount of money.

Vielä lisäinfoa Euro-Toureista, ylläolevaa lähinnä suomennettuna. Alkavalla kaudella kolme kisaa seitsemästä on nk. isompia kisoja, joissa palkintorahaa on jaossa 25% enemmän, 50 000€, kuin muissa kiertueen kisoissa, joissa jaetaan siis 40 000€.

Näissä isommissa kisoissa pelataan 64 cupilla siten, että kiertueen rankinglistan 32 parasta pääsevät suoraan cup-kierroksille ja loput karsivat maksimissaan 256 pelaajan alkukierroksilla tuplakaavion, edelliseen tapaan. Kannattaa siis tähdätä 32 parhaan joukkoon rankingissa. Yksikään suomalainen ei ole tällä hetkellä tuolla kärkisakissa, mutta seuraaavaan isompaan kisaa, Hollannin Deurnessa, on matkaa neljän kisan verran, joten eikun treenaamaan ja kiertämään!
