Euro Tour information:
IBPF decided the make the following changes for all Euro Tour events:
1. Shot Clock:
It is possible that the tournament leader will decide that a player who (in his opinion) play too slow will be confrontated with a shot clock. Normally this shot clock rule will be valid for both players. In the Euro Tour events the rule will be different. Only the offending player will be confronted with the shot clock, not the opponent.
2. Racking of the balls:
The tables will be tapped but the nine ball will be on the spot.
3. Break rules:
We will keep the rule of alternate break and 3 breaks each. Also the 3 balls over the “kitchen Line” or in pockets will be also valid this year. The change is with a dry break ( if not 3 balls go over the kitchen line or in the pocket). If a dry break situation ( if only 2 balls go over the kitchen line and / or in the pockets ) then the following options are there:
Situation:
Player A breaks and only 1 Ball goes in the pocket, then it is a so called “Dry break”. Player B have the following options:
a. In coming player (player B) can accept the table and ply on.
b. In coming player (player B) can return the table to player A.
If situation B is in progress then player A can play a push out or a normal shot.
