Kävin keskustelua 860-veran huollosta erään pätevän jenkkityypin kanssa. Sillä on oma pöytä sekä läheiset suhteet salinomistajaan. Tuossa mitä hän kirjoitti asiasta:

I know that many posters have opinions regarding proper 860 maintenance - let me tell you the CORRECT way (shown to me by a pool hall owner).

After each day of significant play, take a lint-free cloth (not micro-fiber - it doesn't develop enough friction), moisten it enough so that when you wipe the table (head to foot as if you were brushing) it will just barely leave streakings of moisture. You never have to vacuum (unless you allow some numbskull to spill crumbs on your table) or brush. It is unbelieveable how pristine your cloth stays.

This method works better than Quick-Clean(?spelling) in my opinion. I know they claim you are working the chalk into the cloth; but this damp cloth takes off SUBSTANTIAL chalk even immediately after using the Quik-Clean; and surely water is cheaper and easier to obtain in Finland. Posters have also claimed that the water will "stretch" the cloth. I have not had that problem at all (just don't rub the cloth like a maniac, just enough to get out the deep chalk lines). Because you don't brush (which wears the cloth over time and leaves a little sheen), the cloth plays basically just like new (except that nothing slides on the rails, making the table play much tougher). There are NO noticeable chalk deposits under the cloth affecting the roll after 1 1/2 years of daily wiping - if chalk deposits form, it can't be very quickly.

I play enough that I had to change my cloth after 1 1/2 years when I vacuumed and brushed (cloth looked terrible). With just moist wiping, the cloth still looks and plays great after 1 1/2 years.

P.S. - my friend uses the same technique for 760 and 860 on all of his tables; claims to save significant money; having to re-cover the tables less often.
